InspireU Football Team visit home of England’s National Football Teams

This week, the InspireU Football Team participated in the Association of Colleges (AoC) National Pan Disability Football Tournament held at St. George’s Park.
Renowned as the training ground for all 23 of England’s national football teams, St. George’s Park boasts some of the finest facilities in the country.
The event was an unforgettable experience for our team, featuring 25 different Pan Disability Football teams from across the nation. With a focus on enjoyment and camaraderie, there were no overall winners, allowing everyone to celebrate their passion for the sport.
The InspireU team achieved an impressive record, winning 3 out of 6 matches, with learners scoring on the same pitches where stars like Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, and Bukayo Saka have played.
The tournament was superbly organised by the AoC, and we felt privileged to participate in such a prestigious event. Additionally, the team enjoyed a brief tour of the facilities, including the Sir Bobby Charlton Pitch, where the Senior England National Team regularly trains.
Throughout the day, our team displayed exemplary behaviour, creating lasting memories.
One learner remarked on the journey home, “I will remember this day for the rest of my life.”
We look forward to visiting again!
