InspireU at Lincolnshire Show
The Lincoln InspireU learners and staff shared an exhilarating, fun-filled day at Lincolnshire Show that truly ignited their spirits.
Before the visit, learners eagerly researched the show, looking into which stalls and activities they'd like to explore, they were provided with maps to help them prepare for this exciting adventure.
Supported by staff, learners confidently navigated public transport to reach the show, an empowering experience that fostered their independence and self-belief.
Splitting into small groups, they immersed themselves in the vibrant atmosphere, relishing the opportunity to engage with the activities, eat delicious food, and create unforgettable memories.
It was more than just a day out – it was a powerful chance to connect with the community, honing vital life skills like handling money and striking up conversations with stallholders with confidence.
For some of our learners dreaming of a future of joining the Police, this day was nothing short of inspiring. Being able to speak with police officers, wear the uniforms, and sit in a Police car felt like a dream come true. OD’s face lit up with a huge smile as he exclaimed, “That was amazing!” and eagerly shared that he couldn’t wait to tell his Mum all about it.
