At InspireU, our core values are central to everything we do, guiding our decisions, behaviours and the way we support both learners and colleagues.

Each month, we highlight one of our core values and recognise team members who consistently demonstrate it in their work. In December, we were proud to celebrate our Core Value Award winners for Innovation.

Innovation at InspireU is about embracing new ideas, finding creative solutions and driving progress when faced with challenges. It encourages thinking differently, learning through experimentation and inspiring others through positive and imaginative approaches.

These values help create a friendly, supportive and hard-working environment where everyone is encouraged to take on challenges and make a positive difference.

What makes these awards particularly meaningful is that nominations come directly from InspireU staff.

This peer-led approach ensures that those who demonstrate innovation every day are recognised by colleagues who see the impact of their work first-hand.

We are delighted to congratulate our December Innovation Award recipients.

Staff Innovation Award Winner: Aneta Berry

Colleagues praised Aneta for the way she engages learners through innovative approaches and challenges others to think differently. Her work has had a significant positive impact across sites, supporting both staff and learners to achieve more.

Aneta’s creative thinking has been implemented at both Spalding and Boston, including the development of innovative cooking classes that have transformed kitchens into a third classroom.

Learner Innovation Award Winner: Oliver Cobb

Nominations highlighted Oliver’s creativity and originality during the Heli-raiser project. He contributed fresh ideas that enhanced the overall concept, demonstrating a willingness to think outside the box and take creative risks.

In addition, Oliver designed and facilitated a “Deal or No Deal” style game for his peers, helping to make the project engaging and memorable.

Congratulations to Aneta and Oliver on their well-deserved awards, and thank you to everyone who continues to bring innovation to life at InspireU.
