What is a Charity Pop-Up Shop?

A charity pop-up shop is a temporary retail space where donated items are sold to raise funds for a specific charity or cause. These shops often feature a variety of goods, including clothing, accessories, home decor, and even handmade crafts. The proceeds from sales go directly to supporting the fund-raising event making every purchase a meaningful contribution.

The learners, staff and local people donated items for the shop. Everything was sorted, priced and labelled. It was then displayed for sale.

The learners enjoyed the event and learned how a business model of retail works.

• Social Impact - charity shops often serve as community hubs, providing affordable goods to those in need and fostering a sense of community
• Marketing – learners made leaflets and posted them in the local community

Everyone was delighted with the way the day went and even more so with the amazing £70.00 raised.
