InspireU - attendance and punctuality policy

Purpose

All learners must recognise that good attendance and punctuality will:

  • maximise achievement
  • enhance their learning experience
  • develop their employability skills

High expectations of attendance and punctuality will be required by future employers. Therefore, we need our staff to set and enforce high expectations for attendance and punctuality. However, we recognise that considerable support may need to be put in place for learners to:

  • achieve good attendance
  • stay engaged on the programme

This policy provides guidance on:

  • when and how InspireU monitors the attendance of learners
  • the actions to be put in place where learners are found to be below acceptable levels
