Registration and certification policy
Purpose
This policy:
- applies to all InspireU learners
- provides clear guidelines on the registration and certification of learners on qualification aims
The purpose of the procedure is to make InspireU staff aware of the guidelines to follow when registering and certificating their learners.
Security
All registration and certification records are securely kept within the department. Learner details and assessment outcomes must be sent securely to the relevant awarding bodies.
Registration
- all learners must be assessed using the appropriate diagnostic and initial assessments. Appropriate checks must be conducted on the LRS system to ensure the learners are registered onto the correct qualification
- all learner access arrangements are to be processed in line with requirements. No registrations will take place until this information has been received
- learners should be consulted and inducted appropriately onto the qualification. This will ensure they are on the right qualification for their pathway
- all learners must be registered on each qualification prior to learning and assessments have taken place
- all learners must be enrolled on the appropriate course and qualification.I Information must be submitted to the databridge system, or data and exam officer, for the programme or course they are studying
Certification
- all assessment outcomes must be recorded accurately in the centre prior to claiming for certification
- all internal verification processes will be followed prior to claiming certification
- all certificates must be claimed for once the course is complete
- the data and exams officer will upload the qualification certification onto the databridge system
- all certificates must be given to learners prior to or on leaving InspireU. They must not be unduly withheld or retained
