Courses
At Boston InspireU we offer three main subjects; English, Maths and Preparing for Adulthood (PfA). In PfA you will learn different life skills such as:
- budgeting
- shopping
- employability
- relationships
- cooking
- team building
In Maths, we cover Entry Level Functional Skills and GCSEs curriculums.
We look at:
- number
- shape
- space and measure
- handling data
In English, we cover the development of reading, writing, speaking and listening in English. We offer additional intervention with Maths and English to all learners that need extra help.
We offer qualifications that will support you in your journey to employment:
- Employability Award
- Digital Functional Skills
- Customer Service Award
- Health and Safety
- First Aid
- Food hygiene
We offer three programmes at InspireU:
- Step – building independence skills and self-confidence
- Stride – helps learners develop skills needed within the workplace
- Sprint – this is our Supported Internship programme and is for those learners who are ready to go into paid employment
With Sprint there is only one college day a week at our Boston site on a Thursday. It is an expectation that the learners will attend a minimum of two full days a week, within their work placement to help hone their employability skills ready for paid work.
