Entry routes into InspireU

Enquiry

Any parent, new learner or professional that contacts InspireU to enquire about a place will be invited to complete an application form. The enquiry may be generated from a phone call, email, or similar route. All those that enquire about the courses will be sent the application form and advised of next steps. The enquiry will be logged on Databridge (InspireU’s Management Information System.)

InspireU will check the Children’s Services Mosaic records to check if the new learner has an EHCP or is open to other professionals. If the new learner has an EHCP the SEND team will make sure that a consult has been received and if not, will trigger that process. The application will be put on hold until the EHCP consult has taken place. If there are other professionals involved, InspireU may contact them for their input into the process of transitioning the new learner into InspireU.

A place at InspireU can be considered at any time throughout the academic year, but InspireU reserve the right to restrict / refuse admissions from 1st April of each year, until the end of the academic year due to GCSE exams being undertaken and also to ensure that new learners would meet the funding rules.

EHCP consults

Some enquiries will start with an EHCP consult. The SEND team will log the consult, including the outcome, and upload all documentation to Databridge. The SEND team will request an application form is completed if this has not already been received.
