Job Coach support at InspireU

At InspireU, we believe that every learner deserves the opportunity to thrive in the workplace. Our dedicated Job Coach team plays a vital role in supporting learners to develop the confidence, skills, and independence needed to succeed in employment and work-related settings.

What is a Job Coach?

A Job Coach is a trained professional who provides tailored, one-to-one or small group support to learners as they prepare for, engage in, and reflect on work experience, supported internships, and employment opportunities. They act as a bridge between the learner and the workplace, ensuring that each placement is meaningful, accessible, and aligned with the learner’s goals.

How Job Coaches support learners

Our Job Coaches offer a wide range of personalised support, including:

  • Pre-placement preparation: Helping learners understand the expectations of the workplace, develop key employability skills, and build confidence
  • On-the-job support: Providing in-person or remote guidance during placements to ensure learners feel supported and can overcome challenges
  • Workplace adjustments: Liaising with employers to ensure reasonable adjustments are in place to meet individual needs
  • Skill development: Supporting learners in developing communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Reflection and progression: Helping learners reflect on their experiences, celebrate achievements, and identify next steps in their career journey
